Moms Should Try Funky Monkey Freeze-Dried Fruit Snacks

Hello Michigan moms and visiting readers.  On this cold and rainy spring day, I thought I would share with you some snacks that I recently tried with my girls.  They are called Funky Monkey Fruit Snacks.  They are freeze-dried fruit snacks and come in 7 flavor varieties.

My family got to try all 7 flavors:

• Apple Cinnamon
• Banana Cinnamon
• Pineapple Lime
• Carnival Mix: banana, pineapple, apple, and papaya
• Mango with Orange Juice
• Pineapple with Guava
• Banana with Acai

As a busy mom with a home business, I am always searching for quick yet healthy foods including snacks.  I think our favorites were the apple and banana cinnamon and pineapple with guava.  The carnival  mix was pretty good, though my girls didn’t particularly enjoy them along with mango.  I guess their taste buds weren’t on board these flavors, but I am glad they enjoyed all the others as did I! Oh, and they are nice and crunchy!

For those of you who are gluten conscious these snacks are gluten-free. 

Funky Monkey fruit snacks are on the pricey side of things.  They seem to be more expensive than fresh fruit alone.  They are $1 to $2 a package.  You don’t get very much so I guess you would have to decide if it is worth the purchase in your monthly grocery budget.  I would personally purchase them for long car trips and busy schedules.   If you are all about bulk, you can purchase them as 12 packs as well.
