Shakespeare, Chaucer, and Hawthorne No Fear Books Review

Are you a fan of Shakespeare, Chaucer, or Hawthorne, but sometimes would like a simple translation of the classics?  I was just recently introduced to a set of No Fear books by Shakespeare, Chaucer, and Hawthorne (the plays and tales) side-by-side in Plain English!  This isn’t normally the type of book review I would do here on the blog.  I usually do resources such as this on my homeschooling blog, but the concept intrigues me and may be of interest to you as well, especially if you have a teen.

Here are the books I received for this review:
You can still read the tales and plays in “all their brilliance” yet be able to understand the meaning.  The books give you original tales and plays on the left-hand side of the page, but a side-by-side easy to understand translation. The No Fear books also contain a list of characters with descriptions and helpful commentary.

I definitely would recommend these English Literature classics to anyone who needs help in understanding the meaning behind the tales and plays.  Great for highschoolers!  I wish these were around when I was studying them, it would have made a lot more sense to me, haha!  I remember my senior year in high school playing Lady Macbeth in our classroom play.  I was pretty proud as I memorized all of the lines, yet didn’t really understand what it all meant….haha! English Lit memories, ahhh! lol  I am excited to utilize these with my girls when the time comes.

How much do the No Fear books cost?
You may be able to purchase the No Fear books for slightly cheaper than stated value.  You will also be able to see a list of other tales and classics such as; Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, and more!
