I was recently introduced to youtheory.

“It is a natural supplement brand that strives to bring customers the highest quality products to Age Beautifully™ and believes beauty is something that starts from within and works its way out. youtheory products guide consumers into their best possible version of beauty and to embrace their beauty, to love it and most importantly, to cherish it.”

Collagen is your body’s key structural protein and is directly involved in creating strong and healthy nails, hair, tendons, bones, muscles, and keeping your skin silky smooth. Collagen is critical to the formation and on going health of the skin, cartilage, ligaments and other body tissues and structures. While, the healing, natural hydration of Coconut has been known for generations to help unlock the real beauty in your life. The highly bio-available ingredient blend in the Coconut supplement includes magnesium and phyto-nutrients that help your body, skin and hair recover while helping provide the nutrition key to managing a healthy mood and energy levels.

Because of my thin and brittle nails, I jumped on board this opportunity to see if it would make a difference.  I am all for healthier hair, tendons, bones, muscles, and smooth skin as well.

I received youtheory’s Collagen advanced formula with 18 amino acids.  It contains 160 tablets.  You are to take 6 of them daily.  This at first was a concern of mine because that seemed like a lot, but to get the proper amount of the amino acids, etc., this made sense.

What are the ingredients?

  • 10 mg of Sodium
  • 6g of Protein (as Collagen Type 1,2, & 3)
  • 60 mg Vitamin C
  • Di-calcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate (vegetable grade)

It is free of corn, wheat, yeast, starch, sugar, fat, or dairy products.  It is only 26 calories per serving.

It may contain sulfite residues.

I am more than halfway through using up the product.  I have definitely started to see a change in my hair and nails.  I already have thick long hair so noticing that it was thicker was a plus, haha.  My nails are the most exciting part of this review.  They are stronger and thicker.  They don’t break as easily and are a joy to manage.  Yay, finally!

I highly recommend this product if you are looking to strengthen your hair, nails, etc.

I have had no strange side effects whatsoever.  It’s definitely a natural supplement, which is a plus.  Just like everything else, do not use if you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition, etc.  It’s always best to take precautions with anything you consume, including dietary supplements.

youtheory offers a variety of other products including a Green Coffee Bean Advanced which will help you achieve the energy, mood, and weight to help you live beautifully, along with Resveratrol, Anti-Aging Proteins, and Hyaluronic Acid.

You can purchase youtheory products on Amazon as well as other online retailers.

  1. Hi! Is it okay to take Youtheory collagen advanced formula if you are just 22 years of age? My hair and my fingernails both break easily and I’ve been suffering intermittently from knee pain since 16 years old. Hope you could give me some advice if I can take this or not. Thanks!

    1. Hi Janice! Yes, I think any age it would be beneficial for hair and fingernails, etc. I am 37 and my hair and nails have never been stronger. As far as knee pain or joint pain, it’s worth giving a shot. I highly recommend the product mainly for hair and nails since that’s where I saw my results. Hope that helps. Feel free to ask any other questions. =)

  2. Hi! Lindsey I’m a 22 year old boy taking these collagen pills for a week now I found it good and well my nails are getting thick and my hair looks shiny.. However it is okay to take it together with Costco Kirkland fish oil 1000mg? There is any side effects I need fishoil and I’m taking fishoil before I take this pill.. I need an advice thanks 🙂

    1. Hi there. That is an excellent question about the fish oil. There shouldn’t be any issues, but if you are unsure, I would ask your doctor to see what is okay to mix and what is not okay. I have been taking them with my multi-vitamins, etc., and haven’t had any issues. Maybe do a little more research, just in case. Hope that helps a little! =)

  3. Hi!i am a breastfeeding mom…I just want to know if it safe to take a collagen while I’ still breastfeeding my daughter ?

    1. Hello,

This is a good question as I am not a medical professional. Talk to your dr. and ask if Collagen is safe while breastfeeding. =)
