Max 2: White House Hero – Own it Now on Digital HD, Blu-ray™ & DVD!

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the DVD ($19.98 Value) for this Blog Post. The opinions I share here are my own.

Your all-time favorite canine hero is back in an all new feature length movie!  Warner Bros. Home Entertainment brings you MAX 2: White House Hero on DVD and Blu-ray Combo Pack on May 23, 2017.  (Digital HD is currently available.) The original film, MAX, released by Warner Bros. Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, was a box office hit and went on to gross $43 million in the U.S.

Synopsis:

Duty calls again, and our hero dog Max returns to action in this new film.  His new assignment brings him to Washington, D.C. to serve on the U.S. president’s Secret Service detail. When a foreign leader arrives with his precocious daughter Alex (Francesca Capaldi), tensions arise between both countries.  First Son TJ (Zane Austin), along with Max and Alex, uncover a dangerous plot that puts both kids and both nations in jeopardy. A highly-sensitive mission will push Max’s specialized skills, intelligence and loyalty to the test.

Review:

Over the weekend, I watched MAX 2: White House Hero with my 7-year old son and we both totally enjoyed it.  We first didn’t know what to expect after being BIG fans (and having high expectations) of the original Max movie, but was pleasantly surprised it had the same great Max action and heart-warming heroism we so vividly remember from the original.

This movie is rated PG and surely appropriate for all ages.  There are scenes of mild peril that may be a little scary for some youngsters, but all outcomes outweigh the unknowns.  The story line was somewhat easy to follow and wasn’t complicated.  The length of this film runs 80 minutes which is truthfully good timing for family oriented movies as it was not too short nor too long.  The DVD is also filled with 15 minutes of extra treats including a behind-the-scenes featurette, “Kids on the Case: Making of Max 2,” and a canine blooper reel, “Max 2: A Ruff Life” which were interesting clips to add more to the story behind the story.

After watching this movie, it actually spurred my son wanting further information regarding the White House and Secret Service, etc, so this film brought further education into the mix.  All in all, great family clean movie that is appropriate for the whole family and for youth group events also.

MAX 2: White House Hero will be priced to own on DVD at $19.98 SRP and on Blu-ray including Digital HD at $24.98 SRP.
