I was invited as press to attend Motor City Comic Con in exchange for this post. Any opinions expressed here are honest and my own.
I am so excited to have experienced Motor City Comic Con (for the very first time), this past weekend, November 8-10, at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. I had never been to this event and was accepted and invited as press.
Because it was my very first time, I needed to get familiar with everything available. I was blown away at the amount of vendors, crafters, comics, celebrities, and more. This definitely did not disappoint. I was elated to see the amount of cosplay going on in the venue. People were just so happy to be there. You could feel the passion in the entire place.
I ran into a few familiar faces and saw some celebrities such as Dave Coulier of Full House, etc. (fan crazed for sure), I unfortunately, just learned of some news about Dave Coulier that he has stage 3 Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Praying for health and strength on him. I believe God above can touch him and heal him completely. He’s a neat guy and wishing him all the best as he fights this!

Special Events at Motor City Comic Con included Jurassic Park with Wayne Knight Q & A at Emagine Theatre-Novi, an After Party at the Hub Stadium, Game Room, and more!
There were so many events to choose from, it made it exciting to plan your attendance for each one such as an Icon Tournament where you can show off your Super Smash Bros Ultimate Singles Skills in a tournament. The last day there was an adult Cosplay competition. So fun!
They had plenty for the kiddies as well on the second floor of Suburban Collection Showplace:

I got to sit in on my very first comic con panel with Matthew Lewis. He played Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter Series. He discussed what it takes to portray the unexpected hero! He was hilarious and it was fun hearing how he started out as a very young actor and was selected to play Neville Longbottom after 40,000 + kids auditioned for this role. Incredible! Many guests asked him awesome questions and we took a group selfie photo with him. It was a quite large group so I’m pretty sure I was lost in the sea of people. LOL!
Oh! Can’t forget the food experiences. There were also a ton of food trucks and dining options to choose from. You never go hungry at Motor City Comic Con!

Would I attend again? Absolutely! The Motor City Comic Con staff/team did an amazing job putting on this much anticipated weekend event. I cannot wait for the next one!
