Celebrate the Holiday Season with Cinematic Feasts Featuring The Nightmare Before Christmas, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, and Elf!

 

WHAT

This holiday season, Fork n’ Film invites guests to step into the movies and savor the spirit of the season through an unforgettable immersive dining and film experience. Hosted inside Cambria Detroit Hotel’s Balla Ultra Lounge, Fork n’ Film transforms beloved holiday films into multi-sensory celebrations, complete with chef-curated multi-course menus, themed cocktails and mocktails, twinkling decor, and dishes served in perfect harmony with on-screen moments.

Through these heartwarming Christmas classics – The Nightmare Before Christmas, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, and Elf – guests will experience the joy, nostalgia, and wonder of the holidays in an entirely new way. Each evening begins with a welcome glass of bubbly and freshly popped popcorn before embarking on a cinematic journey which includes a gourmet dinner (with vegetarian and vegan options available) choreographed to the film’s most memorable moments.

Cambria Detroit invites guests to indulge in a one-of-a-kind evening that blends entertainment, flavor, and connection. Following their Fork n’ Film experience in the Balla Ultra Lounge, guests are welcomed into Cibo Detroit, an inventive, ingredient-driven restaurant nestled in the heart of the hotel, for a complimentary drink. Embodying the spirit of togetherness, Cibo Detroit celebrates the joy of great food, great drinks, and great company. Each guest in attendance will receive a drink voucher to redeem immediately after the film, extending the evening’s experience in true Cambria style.

Reservations are required, and tickets can be purchased online at www.Detroit.ForknFilm.com.

Seating is limited to 40 guests per night, ensuring an intimate, theatrical experience perfect for date nights, festive outings, or unique holiday celebrations.

Dates and times are subject to change as additional shows and dates may be added.

Guests will also be able to experience Disney’s Ratatouille on select dates from November 14 through November 29.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

The film follows the misadventures of Halloween Town’s most beloved Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington (voiced by Chris Sarandon), who has become bored with the same annual routine of frightening people in the “real world.” When Jack accidently stumbles on Christmas Town, all bright colors and warm spirits, he gets a new lease on life,  he plots to bring Christmas under his control by kidnapping Santa Claus and taking over the role. But Jack soon discovers even the best-laid plans of mice and skeleton men can go seriously awry. Directed by Henry Selick, written by Tim Burton, Michael McDowell, and Caroline Thompson. How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Inside a snowflake exists the magical land of Whoville, wherein live the Christmas-loving Whos. Just outside of Whoville lives a green, revenge-seeking Grinch (Jim Carrey) who plans to ruin Christmas for all of the citizens of the town. As the Grinch sets off to ruin Christmas, little Cindy Lou Who (Taylor Momsen) decides to befriend the Grinch.
