Enjoy the Holidays, Not the Debt: Two Free Virtual Workshops for Michiganders on Dec. 5 and Dec. 12

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (Nov.  2025) ­– Gesher Human Services, one of the largest human service agencies in metro Detroit, is offering two free zoom workshops, full of practical tips to help Michiganders enjoy the holidays without succumbing to financial stress. Enjoy the Holidays, Not the Debt: A Guide to Minimal Credit Usage Part 1 and Part 2 will be held on Friday Dec. 5 and Friday Dec. 12, both at 1 p.m. Registration is at www.geshermi.org/events.

“The holiday season is a time for joy, not financial stress, but with prices so high and social pressure on many of us to buy expensive gifts and entertain extravagantly, many people start the new year with a mountain of debt,” explained Gesher’s Financial Education Manager Laltsha Cunningham.  “Our workshops will provide practical, easy-to-implement strategies to help you navigate the festive season while keeping your credit card usage to a minimum.”
