Huffy “GRM” Bike Designed to Make Learning to Ride Fun and Easy; New Move-Up Program Offers Peace of Mind When Choosing Bike Size
DAYTON, Ohio – Huffy (https://www.huffy.com), a United Wheels brand, is proud to announce the launch of its new Grow Ride Move (GRM) line, an innovative collection of kids’ bikes built to make learning to ride simpler, safer, and more fun for the whole family.
Developed and tested by Huffy’s in-house Advanced Product Development team, the GRM series was built from the ground up to restore the joy of learning to ride. Every detail of the geometry was verified through hands-on research to help kids learn faster and feel stable from the first ride.
Available in 12-, 16-, 20-, and 24-inch sizes,
the GRM bikes feature an extended wheelbase, lower standover height, smaller cranks, optimized frame geometry, and wider tires for improved balance, traction, and comfort. The intentional handlebar positioning encourages a natural, upright riding posture, while the 12-inch and 16-inch models include training wheels and a parent assist handle to make first rides easier and more fun.
Safety was a top priority in the design of GRM. All sizes feature dual hand brakes for consistent control. The 12- and 16-inch models feature Huffy’s Triple Braking System, including front and rear caliper hand brakes with color-coded levers to help younger riders learn stopping mechanics, as well as a coaster brake for added confidence. Every bike includes a fully enclosed chainguard to prevent snags, giving parents peace of mind as their children gain independence.
“For decades, Huffy has been helping kids discover the joy of riding,” said Chris King, Vice President of Marketing, United Wheels. “The Grow Ride Move line builds on that legacy by making it easier for families to create core memories and encouraging kids to build skills and independence while enjoying every ride.”
