GREAT LAKES CULINARY CENTER, A NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART TEST KITCHEN, ENTREPRENEURIAL FOOD INCUBATOR AND SPECIAL EVENTS VENUE, OPENS IN SOUTHFIELD

What: The new Great Lakes Culinary Center, a 20,000 square foot, multi-use mecca for restaurant and food service industry professionals, as well as interested and motivated foodies everywhere, officially opens its doors to the media and the public.   The center is connected with the Great Lakes Supply Company and provides food service professionals with everything needed to design, build, test and launch a fully-equipped commercial kitchen.  In addition, it is an interactive demonstration classroom and multimedia learning center and metro Detroit’s newest, premiere destination for private parties and special events.

Who: Great Lakes Culinary Center’s owner and president, Marc Israel and staff welcome guests, while Chef Reva Constantine prepares food on the state of the art kitchen equipment.

When: Tuesday, November 12, 2013

10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Tours by Great Lakes Culinary Center staff. Food and refreshments will be served throughout the event; cooking/equipment demonstrations presented by Chef Reva Constantine.

12:00 p.m.  – Welcome and comments from Great Lakes Culinary Center President Marc Israel.

2:00 p.m. – Ribbon Cutting with Great Lakes Culinary Center staff and City of Southfield dignitaries.

Where:  Great Lakes Culinary Center, 24101 W. Nine Mile Rd., Southfield, MI, just west of Telegraph Road.
