Free and Low-Cost Events at Michaels Craft Stores in February

Michaels, North America’s largest specialty retailer of arts and crafts, is offering a variety of free and low-cost in-store crafting events throughout February.  Events include a crafternoon for the whole family, art journal, and scrapbooking workshops, and Kids Club events where they can make unique, string art valentines and more!  A complete list of in-store events is below.  Events are available at all locations nationwide unless otherwise noted.

Family Crafternoon

Saturday, Feb. 7 | 1pm – 4pm

Bring the whole family together to create something special! Decorate a special Valentine’s Day mailbox to hold cards from classmates, friends and sweethearts. Just $10 per box – includes supplies.

Scrapbooking 101

Monday Feb. 9 | 6:30pm-8:30pm

Learn the basics of scrapbooking as you create a page, incorporating paint, paper, stamps and stencils. Free with cost of supplies.

Jewelry 101

Tuesday Feb. 10 | 6:30pm-8:30pm

Learn the foundations of jewelry making – bead stringing, crimping and forming wire loops – all as you make a beautiful ribbon and pearl necklace! Free with cost of supplies.

Make it with Michaels Workshop – Art Journal

Thursday, Feb. 26 | 6:30pm-8:30pm

You will discover an exciting way to express your creativity in this class that combines art, crafting and journaling. Just $20 – includes supplies.

Saturday, Feb. 7 | 10am – noon

Drop in and your little makers can craft an adorable string art valentine with yarn. Just $2 per 30-minute session – includes supplies. Ages 3 and up.
