Kitchen is arguably one of the most cluttered and unorganized part of a house. There are times that it will look like a living room or worst a cluttered office because of stacks of papers, magazines and other non-kitchen stuff laying around.
Organizing the kitchen is truly a challenging job, most especially if you are a parent with kids running around the house almost non-stop. It’s quite hard to keep it clean and clutter free all the time.

Start with an inventory.
Make a list of all the kitchen items you own. Check for those items that are not being used anymore, too old or already expired. These items must be put out immediately.
You can also look for duplicate kitchen tools and utensils. If you have a dozen of mugs but you only use 3 at most in a day, then giving away some of them are pretty much a good thing to do. Donating or giving away some of your kitchen items (duplicate or not being used anymore) is a good start for your kitchen organization mission.
Store your kitchen items wisely.
All kitchen tools and items that you use daily or regularly must be stored in accessible location or “within arm’s reach”. Drinking glasses must be stored near the fridge, sink or water dispenser. Pots, pans and other cooking tools must be placed near the cooking range or stove.
Categorize, label and put each and every item at their proper place.
Keep all your canned goods in one section of the pantry. Your baking supplies must be stored at one place too. Same goes with box of cereals and even cooking spices. This can help you immediately identify or get them any time you wanted. You won’t have a hard time looking for that can of beans if you know where all your canned goods are located. This can save you a lot of time during rush hours, especially in the morning.
Always make a note and hang it at a visible location.
