I think I’m really beginning to enjoy Middle School books to review as they are normally fun and less heavy drama than adult books.  This book, is a prime example….

Just of the story: 

Eleven-year-old P. T. Wilkie may be the greatest storyteller alive. But he knows one thing for a fact: the Wonderland Motel is the best place a kid could ever live! All-you-can-eat poolside ice cream! A snack machine in the living room! A frog slide! A giant rampaging alligator! (Okay, that last one may or may not be made up.) There’s only one thing the Wonderland doesn’t have, though—customers. And if the Wonderland doesn’t get them soon, P.T. and his friend Gloria may have to say goodbye to their beloved motel forever.

Join author, Chris Grabenstein, as he shares this comical book for young readers (ages 8-12) on how an eleven-year-old can try to save a sinking hotel with hair-brain crazy ideas.  This book is funny, very outrageous (as mentioned a few times earlier) and just plain great for kids who love to read an adventure.  There isn’t a dull moment in the book as it is very detailed and it takes young readers on quite a few curves and laughs from beginning to end. Grabenstein also does a great job even making the names of the characters something to remember.
