Mommy Review by Stephanie McLeish

Michigan Mom Review

I received seven colors of the Sinful Colors nail polish by Kandee Johnson:

  1. Dripping in Pearls-pearlescent white-gold
  2. Pinksickle-iridescent sparkling baby pink
  3. Blueberry Hot Rod-vibrant blue and fuchsia iridescent
  4. Kandee Pink-iridescent pink glitter
  5. Flip Tease-Pastel turquoise with iridescent shimmer
  6. Spoon Full of Sugar-pink metallic glitter
  7. Urban Magic-silver holographic glitter

My first thought about these colors is that they are very youthful.  Lots of glitter, and lots of color. Because I manage a jewelry store, I often use more neutral colors and have my nails done with shellac.  However I had just removed my shellac color two days before the polish arrived, so I was ready to try something new!

“Pinksicle” and “Dropping in Pearls” both went on nice and smooth and were actually quite neutral. I even felt comfortable wearing these colors to work because they were subtle (bust still fun).

“Blueberry Hot Rod” is a fun blue color! I wouldn’t choose this color for work, but this went on smoothly and wore well, this one was really fun! It is mostly blue with a little bit of fuchsia flecks.

“Urban Magic,” Kandee Pink,” and “Spoonful of Sugar” are mostly glittery and best used as top coats. The glitter was sparse on my nails, even though the color looks like a lot of glitter will be applied. These colors weren’t my favorite of the collection.

“Flop Tease” looks like it would be a great color, but when I painted it on it was goopy and went on unevenly. Even trying to paint on this color with thin layers, the results were chunky and streaky. I was slightly disappointed as I would have loved this fun teal color!

Overall, I like the selection of colors and think they are youthful and fun. The quality of some of the colors weren’t as high as I would have hoped. This may be best suited for the younger crowd such as tweens and teens!

Michigan mom living would like to say thanks to the folks over at SinfulColors for allowing mommy reviewer Stephanie to try out their products!
