I received a copy of “The Eldridge Conspiracy” ($9.95 Amazon value) in exchange for this promotion. Any opinions expressed here are honest and my own.
“In The Eldridge Conspiracy , twelve-year-old knight Kaye Balfour and his friends Reggie and Beau have their biggest adventure yet. Together, they travel to the kingdom of Eldridge to save Kaye’s absent father’s life and stop an evil baron from taking the throne from the rightful king. However, unlike most modern heroes, these boys face their obstacles without the help of superpowers.
This is the fourth and final book in the Sir Kaye the Boy Knight series. The Eldridge Conspiracy is packed full of silly fun, while also addressing important life lessons throughout.”
I’m not one for knights and adventure (fictional medieval), etc, but this book sure kept me reading until the end. It is geared toward ages 8-12 (grades 3-6) and I think that fits it quite well. With the lack of boy’s chapter books on the shelves, this is a great find for those of age appropriateness. The reading should not be difficult and there are actually pictures thrown in every few chapters which is a great visual for this age….not too kidsy…and not too adultish. I also think girls wouldn’t mind reading this series as it promotes:
*The importance of loyalty and friendships
*Putting aside your pride to help others
*Promoting you can be anything you want to be in life…
Which are some great morals to have in children’s books. This series just may be the perfect fit for any children’s summer reading list.
The Eldridge Conspiracy can be purchased at Amazon, Barnes & Noble and anywhere books are sold.
