Fundraiser Brings U.S. Olympic Medalist to Milford 9/23/18!

Milford Ramp Jam benefit for Milford Skatepark Project to feature medalist Kyle Mack, Sponge singer Vinnie Dombroski and more!

WHAT: Palate of Milford in partnership with Project: S-Park is hosting a Milford Ramp Jam community event to benefit the Milford Skatepark Project from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23.

The family-friendly event will feature autographs and photos with U.S. Olympic snowboard silver medalist Kyle Mack, live music from Michigan Rock School students and special guest Detroit’s Sponge singer Vinnie Dombroski, Palate of Milford food and drink for purchase and more.

Ticket holders are eligible to win a wide variety of door prizes from local businesses like River’s Edge Brewery, Mt. Brighton Ski Area and merchandise from local skate shops.

All proceeds from the event will help raise necessary funds to build a safe, long-lasting, bike and skate park in Milford. The Milford Skatepark Project aims to break ground in March 2019 and will feature a plaza-style park integrated with garden areas and feature a design that uses natural topography.

EXPERIENCE: Join for a day of kid-friendly fun, food and philanthropy, as attendees can expect:

  • Professional skateboarding demos and a ‘bubble wrap’ skateboarding contest for adults
  • Autographs and photos with U.S. Olympic snowboard team silver medalist and West Bloomfield native Kyle Mack
  • Live music by Michigan Rock School students ages 11-14 and special guest Vinnie Dombroski of the alternative rock band Sponge
  • Door prizes, 50/50 raffle, free hot dogs for children 12 and under, beer on tap and merchandise from local skate shops

 VISUALS: Professional skateboarding demos and adults wrapped in bubble wrap skateboarding on a half-pipe Kyle Mack signing autographs and taking photos with guests from 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

TICKETS: General admission tickets can be purchased for $30 in advance or $35 at the door. Family packs are available for $275 and include four event tickets plus an engraved legacy brick once the park is built. Children ages 5 years and younger are free.
