Paralyzed Veterans of America Launches 2018 Veterans Day National Poster and Poem Contest-Deadline 10/29/18!

The deadline to submit entries is October 29th

Paralyzed Veterans of America is thrilled to announce the launch of its 15th annual Veterans Day National Poster and Poem Contest. Paralyzed Veterans of America holds this event every year to showcase the artistic talents and patriotic pride of our nation’s youngest students for disabled veterans in their communities.

The theme for this year’s Poster and Poem Contest is: “Help Our Veterans Be UnstoppABLE in Your Community.” Participants are asked to draw a poster or write a poem showing or telling how they can help make their community more accessible for veterans who use wheelchairs.  The poster contest is open to students in grades 1-4, and the poem contest is open to students in grades 5-8. 

“Our Poster and Poem Contest is a wonderful activity that gets students engaged in learning about the service and sacrifices of this nation’s veterans,” said David Zurfluh, national president of Paralyzed Veterans of America. “We enjoy seeing the creativity that children bring to their projects, and our veterans really appreciate seeing all of the posters and poems. Paralyzed Veterans of America encourages schools throughout the country to participate in the contest.”
