Let’s Get Ready for Bed is the second book from Nurturing Steps, an infant and toddler series founded by multi-Platinum, three-time grammy Award winning artist and best-selling author, Michael W. Smith.
This picture book is a cute, quick, bedtime story for little ones. In this story, Sleepy Puppy’s friends watch him prepare for his usual bedtime routine as he gets ready to go to sleep…bathing, jammies, brushing teeth, prayer time, reading a book, etc. But when he finishes his checklist, he’s wide awake. His friends then step in to serenade him to sleep.
Even though it is a cute story, but it can seem odd at times as the book doesn’t incorporate parents and the peeking friends might seem a big strange, but all in all it reinstates the bedtime routines and preparing.
Little ones will also enjoy the illustrations and will be able to relate to their own important bedtime routines.

Mike Nawrocki is a co-creator of the popular series VeggieTales. He further created, wrote and directed most of the popular “Silly Songs with Larry” segments, including fan favorites “His Cheeseburger” and “The Hairbrush Song.” In addition, he has authored many VeggieTales books and CD projects and is currently focused on developing new children’s properties centered around fun characters, engaging storytelling and wholesome values.
