Add Life, Ambrosia Flax Fibers Work to Keep Your Food Fresh!

  • Absorbs & Holds Moisture – Holds up to 20% of its own weight in water, and when stored in the fridge, it releases moisture back into the produce.
  • Breathable – The fiber structure allows the presence of oxygen, which eliminates yucky slime, fermentation, and questionable flavors.
  • Temperature Regulating – These fibers take in environmental temperatures, remaining moist for the produce.
  • Inhibits Ethylene – Most harvested fruits and vegetables naturally produce ethylene gas which causes spoilage. This type of fiber inhibits its formation.
  • Antimicrobial – The inherent qualities of Ambrosia’s all-natural linen resists mold and mildew.

A little about the brand and the brains behind it:

Founder and CEO Jan Rem took old-world wisdom and added modern-day thinking to provide a natural way of keeping your vegetables fresh longer in the refrigerator drawer. Looking for a way to keep her large garden harvest from spoiling, she remembered how her grandmother used refrigerated damp linen tea towels around vegetables in the fridge. As she began to learn more about the wonders of flax linen, she decided to design easy-zip bags that introduce this fruit and vegetable-preserving wonder fiber with the world.
