If your family is like my family, we’re always looking for the latest and greatest in games, especially during the Holidays to share with others. This Holiday Season is a bit different than others, but a great time to introduce You’re Pulling My Leg! Junior by Allen Wolf.
This game is geared for social gatherings in the age of Covid as it’s a game inside of a book which makes it possible to play with friends in these times of social distancing in person, with family, friends, or over video chats.
When my family played the game,
it took a bit to get the scoring system figured out as each had their own idea, but each family can modify it the way they need to. The book/game is considered “The Ultimate Storytelling Game” and I truthfully agree. Each player is given three topics and they must pick one topic on their turn to talk about.
By the flip of a coin,
it decides if they pick a topic to tell a true story or a false story. Of course, you want to fool your opponents, so these stories can get a bit carried away. The more you fool them, the more points you get.
We sure found out who the best storytellers are in the family and we actually learned a lot more about each other or reminisced about a story someone forgot about. And we learned that the more the merrier to play this game is what really ramps things up.
Great book/game for parties, youth group, family gatherings (when we can again), but it also has the beauty as mentioned before for online fun thru Zoom, etc.
Besides being just a plan fun game, this game/book has Educational Benefits:
