As the holiday season approaches, friends and family are anxiously trying to figure out dinner plans. Whether Thanksgiving is at your home this year, or you plan to bring a dish elsewhere, TheSoul Publishing offers creative DIY appetizers in their 5-Minute Crafts holiday YouTube video for you to try! The steps are simple, straightforward forward and delicious! I’ve listed a few of my favorite below:
Create fancy roasted potatoes shaped as a roses for a beautiful presentation at the table! Thinly slice the potatoes, and overlap the slices horizontally. Then roll the slices up and stick in a cupcake baking pan. Add olive oil and your seasoning of choice and bake. Once it’s roasted to your preference, place them on a serving dish and add any additional toppings that your party will enjoy! (00:11)
Join the tomato feta craze, but make them into bites! Using a pie crust, lay it out flat and add cherry tomato halves on the crust about 1.5 inches apart. Then, top the tomatoes with feta cheese, or your cheese of choice. Add another pie crust on top to cover the tomatoes and cheese, and use a circle shape to cut the pie crusts into pieces. Add into a pan of oil, fry, and enjoy! (1:06)
Make special breaded chicken nuggets for the crowd to enjoy! To prep, pick your favorite potato chip of your choice and crush them into bits. Then, slice uncooked skinless chicken breasts into strips and add to a bowl with barbeque sauce. After, drop a strip one by one into the bag of crushed potato ships and mix it in until it’s fully coated. Lay the strips on a baking tray and bake until cooked. Once cooked, add to a serving plate with barbeque dipping sauce in the center and serve! (1:52)
