Five Things You Should Do If Your Child’s Mobile Phone Gets Stolen On Vacation

With summer in full swing, many families will be jetting off to their favorite destinations for some fun in the sun.

Researchers have found that 53% of youngsters own mobile phones by around the age of seven- and of course, it’s highly likely that they will want to travel with them.

In 2021, around 8.7 million phones were lost or stolen- that’s over 1,000 every hour.

For parents who may hold concerns about their child’s mobile on vacation, Brean Horne, a personal finance expert at the comparison site, NerdWallet, shares five precautions to take in order to protect their personal information if their device does get lost or stolen abroad.
