THIS EVENT HAS ENDED…

A fun fact about water monitors…did you know that they have forked tongues? 🙂

“Learn more about Solair the water monitor and all the other slithery and scaley animals who call the Detroit Zoo home during National Reptile Awareness Day!” OCT. 21 | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.*

“Due to their evening event Zoo Boo, the Zoo will be closing at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21.”

“At this special event, learn to observe water monitor behavior, draw snakes by their color patterns and identify Blanding’s turtles. You will also have the chance to hear directly from the staff members who work with these reptiles every day! Habitat chats will be hosted at 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., along with a Wildlife Adventure Story at noon with education specialist David Gakure — all at the Holden Reptile Conservation Center.” ~Detroit Zoo
