Here’s a little fun about gnomes:
Gnomes have been an integral part of European folklore for centuries, and these mythical creatures are still found in many gardens around the world. But what are gnomes? Gnomes are small humanoid creatures with a long white beard and pointy hat. While they can take on various forms, traditional gnomes usually stand between one and three feet tall.
The origins of the gnome mythology remain largely unknown, but some believe that they first appeared in Scandinavian folklore as far back as the 16th century. Most accounts suggest that these mischievous sprites were believed to live underground, where they protect both humans and nature from evil spirits. In modern times, their primary role has shifted away from protection towards becoming a decorative figure in gardens across Europe. They add an element of whimsy and nostalgia to any outdoor space while also representing luck or fortune when placed near doors or windowsills.
I’ve been seeing gnomes for years and they seem largely used in Christmas decor this year so I thought I would share this fun planner with you.
