Buying a home means you won’t have to fork out for extortionate rent when you are in your 70s or 80s. The cost of living is going up so if you can secure yourself a home while you’re younger then you will be in a much better position in old age. You will also have something to leave for any children you have so they don’t struggle to get on the housing ladder. Think about how much you can afford to put towards a home and go from there.
