Detroit Manufacturing Systems’ Staff Volunteer at Police Organized Community Event Tonight!

WHAT:
Detroit Manufacturing Systems (DMS), a contract manufacturing and assembly company based in Detroit, MI, has created a family of “houses” for their salaried employees to further their involvement in the community while building stronger relationships amongst themselves in and out of the workplace. DMS employees from the Madworth House will be volunteering alongside the 8th and 12th Detroit Precincts during the National Night Out Community event on Tuesday, August 1.
National Night Out is an annual national event that happens on the first Tuesday of August. This year they are celebrating their 40th anniversary and the Detroit Police and local organizations like DMS are coming together to help promote a police-community partnership. The purpose is to bring neighbors and law enforcement together under positive circumstances to enhance their relationship while bringing back a sense of community.

The free all-ages event is open to the public and will include fun activities like bounce houses, face painting, hip hop dancing, live music and vendors not to mention free hotdogs, hamburgers, soda, ice cream and cotton candy!

About the DMS Family House Program
Detroit Manufacturing Systems (DMS) continues to build a bigger family by creating houses for their 350 salary employees to join. Each house initiates efforts that guide the fundamental beliefs, management principles, and core values that DMS Chairman and CEO Bruce Smith has strived to accomplish. There are 16 houses among the 300 plus salary employees that come together to choose an organization that they will work with throughout the year. They will donate funds and provide community service outreach to them.
