PJ Library Partners with KINZOO APP Technology to Connect Young Children with Long-distance Family Members

PJ LIBRARY PARTNERS WITH KINZOO ON AN APP THAT CONNECTS YOUNG CHILDREN WITH LONG-DISTANCEFAMILY MEMBERS TO READ STORIES AND MORE!

Initial PJ Library Books Available to Read Together Include “Yitzi

the Trusty Tractor”, “Until the Blueberries Grow” and “My Hands Make the World”

There’s no bond like the one between children and their grandparents.  And thanks to a new partnership between PJ Library and Kinzoo, that connection can become even stronger through the Kinzoo Together app, which allows long-distance family members to read stories, play games and explore activities together during video calls.

The Together app connects the youngest users of technology

with the loved ones in their lives using content that is engaging, educational and fun.  Initial PJ Library books that are currently available on the app include “Yitzi the Trusty Tractor,” (written by Naomi Shulman, illustrated by Shelley Couvillion) and “Until the Blueberries Grow” (written by Jennifer Wolf Kam, illustrated by Sally Walker) for children 6-7 years old and “My Hands Make the World” (written and illustrated by Amalia Hoffman).  For children ages 2-3.  More books will launch on the app throughout 2024.

“We hear so often about how much grandparents love to read PJ Library books with their families” says Alli Thresher, PJ Library’s Director of Digital Content. “We’re so excited this partnership makes that possible even for families who are usually a plane ride away from each other.”

Sean Herman, CEO of Kinzoo says,

Reading books with children is an important and enriching activity—and it’s an amazing way to share culture and traditions with a new generation. We’re thrilled to offer books from the PJ Library collection, giving our community access to Jewish stories that kids, parents and grandparents can explore together no matter how far apart they live.”
