Free Music & Me Classes All Summer at The Village of Rochester Hills

WHAT                     

The Village of Rochester Hills, metropolitan Detroit’s premier outdoor lifestyle shopping and dining destination, will once again be hosting Music & Me classes throughout the summer months. Music & Me classes are free to attend and will take place select Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10:00am from June thru August. Classes will last approximately 45 minutes each. Mommies and Daddies, Grandmas and Grandpas, and Uncles and Aunts are invited to bring their little ones and participate in these fun and interactive music classes where you will sing, dance and interact with each other. Classes are geared towards children birth to five years old.

Tuesday classes will be led by Ms. Jenna from Music Together and Wednesday classes will be led by Ms. Calissa from Sing Play Speak.

Ms. Jenna’s class Mini Musicians, Music Together is an internationally recognized childhood music program for infants, toddlers, and kindergartners that has pioneered a concept of researched based developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement. You will be singing, dancing, and shaking rhythmic instruments together.

Ms. Calissa is a speech-language pathologist, passionate vocalist, proud mom of two, and the owner of Sing Play Speak. Sing Play Speak offers a unique experience that uses music, movement, and play activities to support speech, language, and social skill development as well as parent-child bonding. Ms. Calissa will be bringing the power of music and movement to The Village of Rochester Hills for all to experience as they build essential language and communication skills while discovering the magic of rhythm and melody.

Each week, friends will explore new musical themes with Ms. Calissa and Ms. Jenna as they sing, dance, and socialize in a beautiful outdoor setting. All sessions will take place in Festival Park at The Village of Rochester Hills. Sessions may be cancelled due to weather conditions, so guests are encouraged to visit The Village of Rochester Hills social media pages for updates. Blankets for sitting and participating for young and old guests are encouraged.
