The Village of Rochester Hills, metropolitan Detroit’s premier outdoor lifestyle shopping and dining destination, is celebrating Summer with a variety of events and musical performances all summer long. Enjoy yourself and join in on the fun as you stroll around the beautiful landscaped outdoor shopping center with over 50 unique and sought-after retailers and a wide collection of restaurants. Make The Village of Rochester Hills your go-to shopping and outdoor spot this summer!

Each week, The Village of Rochester will host a variety of free events that are open to the public! These family-friendly events cater to everyone. Whether you’re a small child or a senior, an athlete or a musician, a fashionista or a foodie, there is something for you at The Village!

Tuesday, July 23

              Free Yoga Class with Yoga6

              7:30am-8:30am

              Von Maur Wall

Start the day off with a free relaxing yoga class with Yoga6.  Enjoy the cool morning air as you enjoy a good stretch. This class is easy for everyone to follow and understand. Attendees will need to provide their own yoga mats.

 

Tuesday, July 23 

            Donut Be Afraid of Bugs

            Morning: 11:00am – 12:00pm

            Evening: 6:00pm – 7:00pm

            Fountain Park

“Donut Be Afraid of Bugs” is back at The Village for another summer filled with creepy crawlies and delicious donuts!  Stop by the fountain area (between Menchies and Barnes and Noble) and meet Nadia aka “The Bug Lady” and get up close and personal with a variety of exotic bugs and learn about why they are important and not as scary as we may think! Afterwards, stop at The Little Donut Factory for a tasty treat and get your sweet tooth fix! Bugs on Wheels will be there from 11am-12pm & 6pm-7pm.  The Little Donut Factory will be there to serve donuts from 11:00am-7:00pm.

The Little Donut Factory will be serving up delicious donuts throughout the day, so stop on by for a tasty treat.

 

Wednesday, July 24

               Music & Me Class “Animals” with Ms. Calissa

                10:00am-10:45am

                Festival Park

Mommies and Daddies, Grandmas and Grandpas, and Uncles and Aunts are invited to bring their little ones and participate in these fun, free, and interactive music classes. Bring your little ones and a blanket (classes are geared towards children birth to five years) as you bond with them over music, movement, and activities that support speech, language, and social skill development. A new musical theme will be explored each week. Wednesday’s classes are led by Ms. Calissa from Sing Play Speak and she will help build essential language and communication skills with your little ones while discovering the magic of rhythm and melody.

 

Thursday, July 25

                Music Performance by Zen Again Acoustics

                5:00pm-9:00pm

                Festival Park

Enjoy a Thursday night out at The Village of Rochester Hills and take in the English and Spanish sounds of Zen Again. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy an evening outdoors.
