WHAT:

SUN AUG 4 & WED AUG 7

HARRY POTTER & THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2 (2011)

Every moment he has lived has led to this: the powerful conclusion to the Harry Potter series. Harry and his friends Ron and Hermione take their stand on the ramparts of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for the final showdown between Harry (“Let’s finish this the way we started…together!”) and his arch-enemy Lord Voldemort. (“Harry Potter…the boy who lived…come to die!”) Rated PG-13

SAT AUG 10, SUN AUG 11 & WED AUG 14

THE IRON GIANT (1999)

25th ANNIVERSARY

Treat the whole family to this animated science fiction adventure directed by Brad Bird (The Incredibles) about a giant robot who falls from outer space and is befriended by a curious, caring boy (“Welcome to downtown ‘Coolsville.’ Population: Us!”) A cult classic, presented here in its Signature Edition with footage not included in the initial theatrical release. (“You are who you choose to be.”) Rated PG

SUN AUG 18 & WED AUG 21

BRING IT ON (2000)

Spirited teen comedy that became a surprise hit and a cult classic. In the cutthroat world of competitive cheerleading, two high school squads are headed for an epic showdown. Led by rival captains Kirsten Dunst (“This is not a democracy, it’s a cheer-ocracy.”) and Gabrielle Union, the two teams stop at nothing to achieve cheerleading perfection (“THESE are not spirit fingers…THESE are spirit fingers!”) Rated PG-13

SUN AUG 25 & WED AUG 28

SMOKEY & THE BANDIT (1977)

Rousing road comedy, second only to Star Wars as the highest grossing movie of 1977. Burt Reynolds is the fun-loving trucker, Bandit, who gives runaway bride Sally Field a lift, and country singer Jerry Reed is his sidekick, Snowman. Jackie Gleason plays exasperated Sheriff Buford T. Justice, the “Smokey” who is hot on Bandit’s tail. (“Let me have a Diablo sandwich, a Dr. Pepper, and make it fast!”) Rated PG
