Michigan’s Largest Pop Culture Event Takes Place May 16-18, 2025

 Motor City Comic Con (MC3), Michigan’s largest and longest running comic book and pop culture convention since 1989, will be hosting their bi-yearly convention May 16-18, 2025, at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. Motor City Comic Con is pleased to announce that the characters from Blue’s Clues, the popular children’s show on Nickelodeon, will be attending the May event. Throughout the years, Steve Burns, Donovan Patton, and Josh Dela Cruz hosted Blue’s Clues. The outstanding Preschool Children’s series has received over 20 Daytime Emmy nominations, multiple Young Artist Award nominations, several TV Guide Award nominations, multiple Online Film & Television Association nominations, and has received the 2002 Peabody Award, and the Television Critics Association Award in 1998 and 1999. Tickets for Motor City Comic Con are available online at www.MotorCityComicCon.com.

Motor City Comic Con, one of the largest conventions in the Midwest, takes place yearly in both the Spring and the Fall at the Suburban Collection Showplace. It will feature some of the largest actors from television, movies, and streaming platforms, along with the most creative artists, writers, and comic book creators in the industry. Throughout the three-day weekend celebrity and comic guests participate in autographs and photo opportunities with attendees, for additional fees. Some celebrities will have presales for autographs and photo ops, along with tickets to the overall convention available on the website and some guests will have those opportunities available on site at the convention. Attendees can also participate in various panel discussions, attractions, events, and explore various exhibitors. Artists, writers, and illustrators will also be featured throughout Artist Alley over the three-day convention. In addition, there will be crafters that will have extraordinary gifts, crafts, and replicas available, and some of the largest comic book and multimedia dealers from across the country that offer a variety of merchandise including comics, toys, art, unique jewelry, clothing, memorabilia and much more! Fans can also expect all the traditional favorites such as Cosplay Contests and kid-friendly activities, along with many more events and activities to be announced soon.

Steve Burns

Actor, producer, and musician known for hosting the popular children’s show, Blue’s Clues & You from 1996-2003. He has since released a rock album for adults and a children’s music album.

Donovan Patton
Actor and director known for his work in Lies I Told My Little Sister, Monster’s University, and portraying Joe on Blue’s Clues from 2002-2006.

Josh Dela Cruz

Chris Bartlett

Best known for his main character roles on the Star Wars shows: The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ahsoka. He has built the C-3PO and Q9-0 droid costumes that he wears for productions.

Wristbands 

Motor City Comic Con has an additional convenience feature for guests who want to bypass the event entry ticket lines and get into the convention faster, by having their MC3 wristband shipped or picked up in advance. For a $15 shipping fee, wristbands can be delivered in the weeks leading up to the convention, anywhere within the continental U.S. VIP Wristband shipping is included if purchased prior to April 20. The deadline for the shipping option is Sunday, April 20, 2025 at 11:59pm EST.  MC3 wristbands are also available for early pick up, free of charge. Pick up along with purchasing wristbands will be available at the box office at the Suburban Collection Showplace, Monday, May 12 – Wednesday, May 14 from 12:00pm-8:00pm, each day.
