EMAGINE THEATRES HOST FLASHBACK CINEMA SERIES AT SELECT EMAGINE LOCATIONS!

March 1 – 30, 2025

WHAT:

Emagine Entertainment will host their Flashback Cinema Series with a selection of classic films everyone knows and loves. This March plan to sit back, cozy up, and enjoy these films with family and friends on the BIG screen.

SATURDAY, MARCH 1* / SUNDAY, MARCH 2 / WEDNESDAY,  MARCH 5

SHREK (2001)

Off-beat comedy adventure—and monster-sized hit—about Shrek (Mike Myers), an ogre who rescues a princess (Cameron Diaz). Entertaining for both children and adults, this clever parody of fairy tales won the first Academy Award® for Best Animated Feature. Eddie Murphy plays Shrek’s scene-stealing donkey sidekick. (“We can stay up late, swapping manly stories, and in the morning, I’m making waffles!”)  Rated PG

SUNDAY, MARCH 9 / WEDNESDAY, MARCH  12

MOONSTRUCK (1987)

Delightful romantic comedy about an Italian American Brooklyn family, filled with memorable characters. Cher won a Best Actress Oscar® for her performance as a reserved widow being pursued by a passionate baker (Nicholas Cage) who wears his heart on his sleeve. (“Snap out of it!”) Olympia Dukakis, who plays Cher’s mother, was named Best Supporting Actress. (“Do you love him, Loretta?”) Rated PG

SATURDAY, MARCH 15* / SUNDAY, MARCH 16 / WEDNESDAY, MARCH 19

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (1990) – 35TH ANNIVERSARY

“Cowabunga!” They’re lean, green, and on the screen! The ORIGINAL live-action version of the popular comic book/cartoon adventure. Four radioactively mutated, crime-fighting turtles use their martial arts skills to clean up the streets of New York City. Named for Renaissance painters (don’t ask), these fun-loving heroes enjoy fighting almost as much as they enjoy eating pizza. (“I love being a turtle!”) Rated PG

SUNDAY, MARCH 23 / WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26

DONNIE DARKO (2001)

Cult classic starring Jake Gyllenhaal as a troubled suburban teenager who survives a freak accident and begins having visions of a giant bunny rabbit named Frank. And then things get really strange. Part sci-fi thriller, part teen angst drama, with an amazing cast that includes Maggie Gyllenhaal, Patrick Swayze, Drew Barrymore and Katharine Ross. Presented in its original theatrical version. (“I have to obey him. He saved my life.”) Rated R

SATURDAY, MARCH 29* / SUNDAY, MARCH 30 / WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2

THE MUMMY (1999)

Rousing action adventure, filled with romance and humor, that revived one of Hollywood’s most famous monster franchises. Starring Brendan Fraser as an explorer searching for a lost Egyptian city with a 3,000-year-old secret, joined by Rachel Weisz as an adventure-seeking librarian. (“You better think of something fast, because if he turns me into a mummy, you’re the first one I’m coming after.”) Rated PG-13
