BLAKE’S ORCHARD AND CIDER MILL CELEBRATES THE ARRIVAL OF SPRING WITH SEASONAL FUN FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY.

Easter Egg Hunts and Brunch, Annual Chasing El Chavo 5k, Apple Blossom Experience, Wing Sauce Competition, and More!

As the blossoms begin to bloom and the sun shines brighter, Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill is welcoming guests this spring to enjoy a variety of special events designed to showcase the beauty of the season, offer a taste of local craftsmanship, and create unforgettable memories. Have a hopping good time at Easter Egg Hunts for kids and adults, lace up the sneakers for El Chavo 5k, stroll through fragrant apple blossoms, and much more.

Hopping’ Good Time – April 12 & 19, 2025, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., at Blake’s Backyard

Easter fun is in store at Blake’s Backyard in Almont with an Easter egg scramble, spring-themed crafts, face painting, bunny and chick petting area, and complimentary photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. Reservations available between 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tickets are $19.95 per child (any age); accompanying adults are free.

Easter Egg-Stravaganza – April 13 & 19, 2025, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., at Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill

Bring the family to this fun, Easter-themed day Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill in Armada. The adventure begins with a train ride through the orchard, Easter egg scramble, take photos with the Easter Bunny, a make and take craft activity, face painting and includes free admission to Funland, including the petting farm. Reservations available on the hour between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tickets are $25.95 per child (any age); accompanying adults are free.

Adult Easter Egg Hunt – April 18 & 19, 2025, from 5 – 9 p.m., at Blake’s Tasting Room

Why let all the kids have fun? Just for the grown-ups, search for six hidden Easter eggs and redeem them for a create-your-own six pack of Blake’s Hard Cider to take home. There will also be live music, exclusive drink deals, and the opportunity to search for a Golden Egg with a special prize. Tickets are $35 per person and include a pint of craft beer or hard cider and donut. Ages 21 and up only.

Easter Sunday Brunch – April 20, 2025, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., at Blake’s Tasting Room and Blake’s Backyard 

A delicious Easter brunch buffet with all the trimmings will be served at Blake’s Tasting Room and Blake’s Backyard with unique menus at each location. Call for reservations: Blake’s Tasting Room 586-784-9463 or Blake’s Backyard 810-798-3251.

The Tasting Room will feature breakfast dishes, fresh fruit, salads, desserts, as well as Chicken Marsala, ham and pasta carving stations, salmon, meatballs, charcuterie, a dessert bar, and much more. Adults $39.95, children 10 and under $13, under age 2 are free.

Blake’s Backyard highlights include eggs, French toast, biscuits and gravy, pasta salad, farmhouse mostaccioli, ham,

Traverse City chicken, Blake’s donuts, pies and more. Both locations will offer assorted handcraft hard cider, craft beers, mimosas, and hard cider bloody Marys. Adults $30.95, children 10 and under $13, under age 2 are free. 

Chasing El Chavo 5k – May 3, 2025, at 4 p.m., at Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill

Inspired by Blake’s Hard Cider mango habanero El Chavo, the fiesta-themed 5k run/walk on gravel trails around Blake’s 150-acre orchard. Participants will take home a commemorative pint glass and t-shirt, a post-race donut, pint of hard or sweet cider and exclusive invitation to the fiesta-themed after party in Orchard Square (food and drink available for purchase.) Costumes are encouraged and the race is open to all ages. Early bird registration is $38 through March 30 and increases to $50 through May 4.

“Get Sauced at Blake’s” – May 24, 2025, from 1 – 4 p.m., at Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill

Wing sauce aficionados will battle it out at the second annual ‘Sauce Off’ competition for a chance to have their winning sauce featured on Blake’s Tasting Room menu and be crowned champion. Blake’s invites home cooks to enter their best wing sauce recipe in four categories: BBQ, spicy, Buffalo, and sweet. For hungry spectators, admission includes one lb. chicken wings, a drink ticket, three voting tokens, and a commemorative item. Sauce makers will receive a commemorative shirt and pint glass. Tickets are $20 for competitors plus a helper, attendees are $23 advance online, and $28 at the door.
