Michigan’s Largest & Longest Running Pop Culture Event at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi FRIDAY, MAY 16 – SUNDAY, MAY 18.

Motor City Comic Con (MC3), Michigan’s largest and longest running comic book and pop culture convention since 1989,

will be taking place this weekend in Novi! The event will feature some of the largest actors from television, movies, and the streaming industry, along with the most creative artists, writers, and comic book creators in the industry. Attendees can participate in various panel discussions, attractions, events, and explore various exhibitors. Artists, writers, and illustrators will be featured throughout Artist Alley over the three-day convention and celebrity and comic guests will be available for autograph and photograph opportunities.

Motor City Comic Con will take place Friday, May 16 – Sunday, May 18, 2025, at The Suburban Collection Showplace located at 46100 Grand River Ave. in Novi, Michigan.

New Dawn Kyber Squadron LED Swordsmanship Training Event – Learn the fundamentals of swordsmanship. Friday, May 16: Saber Shows at 1:00pm, 3:00pm, and 6:00pm – Class at 4:00pm / Saturday, May 17: Saber Shows: 10:30am, 2:00pm, 6:00pm – Classes at 12:00pm, and 4:00pm / Sunday, May 18: Saber Shows at 10:30am, 1:00pm, 2:00pm, and 4:30pm – Classes at 11:30am and 3:00pm

A Night Out with the Hardys! 

On Friday, May 16 beginning at 7:00pm Matt Hardy will do a live podcast followed by a live music concert with Jeff Hardy. Tickets for this Night Out combo event are $50 per person and are on-sale now. Guests must have a ticket to MC3 to attend.

Toothless by John Marks 

Have you ever wanted to ride a dragon? Legendary artist John Marks and his larger-than-life creations, Toothless and Light Fury, will be available for photos all weekend long. A portion of all proceeds will go towards the Make-A-Wish-Foundation. Pricing: $5 per person to stand with prop, $20 for one rider, $30 for two riders, and an additional $5 to use any prop weapon.

Paint & Take Experience 

Get ready to unleash your creativity. Hoplite Games is providing a FREE Paint & Take experience for guests. Stop by and paint your very own miniature figure to take home. 20 spots are available each hour. Classes are first-come, first serve. Quantities limited to one per person throughout the weekend, while supplies last.

You Are A Voice Actor 

Hero or Villain? You Decide! Step into the recording booth and bring a character to life. Choose from over 60 lines, record your dialogue, and get it edited with music and special effects. Pricing: $5 per line, up to 3 lines.

The HUB Stadium After Hours Party 

Want to keep the party going with family, friends, and fellow con-goers? On Friday and Saturday night you’re invited to check out The HUB Stadium Novi for food, drinks, music, Axe Throwing, Ice Curling, and Football Bowling! Each guest will receive free chips & salsa and popcorn – plus get $10 off your purchase. Just show proof of your MC3 admission (ticket or badge) to receive the savings!

Kids Room Activations

In addition to a kid’s cosplay content on Sunday at 3:30pm, the Kids Room will offer crafts, games, story-time, saber shows, special visits from Ghostbusters Detroit and the 501st Legion and so much more throughout the weekend…and it’s all included with the cost of admission!

Malin Akerman After Hours Panel Q&A with Movie Screening of WATCHMEN at Emagine Novi

On Friday, May 16 Malin Akerman will host a panel discussion at 7:45pm at Emagine Novi. Following the panel, guests will be able to watch her in the film, Watchmen. Tickets are $40 each for MC3 guests. MC3 admission is required to participate in this after-hours event.
