Strawberries, Sunflowers, and Summer Celebrations Return with New Experiences and Beloved Traditions!
ARMADA, Mich. May, 2025 – Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill is excited to share its 2025 summer festival schedule, featuring a vibrant mix of family-friendly events, fresh flavors, and seasonal experiences across its locations. From strawberry celebrations to sunflower fields in full bloom, guests can enjoy signature experiences throughout the summer.
Blake’s Lyon Twp Grand Opening Celebration – May 31 from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Blake’s Lyon Twp
Celebrate the official daily opening of Blake’s Lyon Township with a weekend of farm-fresh fun. Enjoy sweet cider and donuts from the market, $5 Funland admission on Saturday, U-pick asparagus, food trucks, live music, giveaways, and free kids’ activities including bubbles, coloring, and sunflower planting. Plus, enter to win prizes like an Appleseed Camp summer day camp pass, family membership, or private summer party. Admission is free.
U-Pick Strawberry Season – Begins weekend of June 14
With 35 acres of ripe, juicy strawberries, visitors can pick their fill at Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill, Blake’s Backyard Almont, or Blake’s Big Apple.
NEW – Big Berry BBQ – June 14 – 15 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Blake’s Big Apple
Introducing Big Berry BBQ: a new summer celebration with fun for the entire family. Come out for two days of live music, lawn games, BBQ food, strawberry treats, and hard cider on tap. Admission is free. For even more fun, families can enjoy Funland for $7.95 per person. Children two and under and all dads receive free admission in honor of Father’s Day. Strawberry U-pick will also be open from 8 AM – 5 PM.
Strawberry Festival – June 21 – 22 from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. at Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill
Blake’s annual Strawberry Festival returns for a weekend of berry-filled fun. Celebrate the start of summer with fresh U-pick strawberries, live entertainment, strawberry-themed food and drinks, and special seasonal offerings. On Saturday, guests can also enjoy extended strawberry U-Pick hours, line dancing, and a fireworks show at dusk. Admission is free.
Annual Lavender Festival – July 11 – 13 and 18 – 20 at Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill
The Annual Lavender Festival returns for two weekends packed full of all things lavender. Guests can hop on a free train ride to the lavender fields to pick their own bundle, snap photos, and shop over 200 local artisan vendors across the grounds. There will also plenty of lavender-infused treats and beverages, as well as free education sessions on gardening, natural wellness, and aromatherapy, plus free yoga, massages, and psychic readings. For the kids, there will be a free activity tent with face painting, animal shows, crafts, and games

10th Annual Cider Dayze – August 2 (from 12 -6 p.m.) – 3 (from 12 – 5 p.m.) at Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill
Celebrate Blake’s 10th Annual Cider Dayze Festival. This 21+ event showcases over 50 regional craft producers of cider, beer, wine, and spirits. Enjoy live music, food trucks, and activities including the beer stein-holding competition, silent disco, fowling, cornhole, a pretzel-eating contest, and more. Tickets include nine 5.5 oz sample pours and a commemorative tasting glass. Early bird tickets start at $40 through June 30, with prices increasing to $50+ at the gate. Designated driver tickets are $20 and include two non-alcoholic drinks and a glass.
NEW Farm Fresh Pickle Fest – August 9 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill
Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill invites the community to join its new Farm Fresh Pickle Fest; a unique summer celebration centered around all pickled things! This family-friendly event will feature a full schedule of activities including DIY pickling workshops, pickle-themed food and beverage offerings, artisan vendors, live music, kids’ activities, and more. Guests can also participate in a variety of contests such as pickle eating and pickle juice drinking. Admission is free.
5th Annual Sunflower Festival – August 22 – 24 and 30 – September 1 at Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill
Nothing captures the essence of summer quite like walking through fields of glowing sunflowers. At the 5th annual Sunflower Festival, guests can enjoy stunning sunflower fields with countless photo opps, a vibrant artisan market with over 100 vendors, and hands-on workshops, speakers and demonstrations covering natural wellness, aromatherapy, gardening, farming, and more.
