EMAGINE TOGETHER SCREENINGS (Previously SENSORY FRIENDLY)

The Sensory Friendly screenings will now be known as “Emagine Together” screenings. The concept will remain the same where the screenings offer a relaxed, inclusive movie experience tailored for families, children, and teens with sensory needs in addition to new parents looking for a stress-free outing with their little ones.

Emagine Together screenings will offer a sensory-friendly environment with brighter house lights providing a well-lit theatre for added comfort, and lower sound levels for those with more sensitive ears. The screenings will also offer a welcoming atmosphere where guests will have freedom to move around, so they can stretch, dance, or step out as needed. They welcome vocal expression allowing guests to talk and sign and are device-friendly, allowing phones and tablets to be used to provide additional comfort or communication for guests. Finally, Emagine Together screenings provide guests with a judgement free zone, where it’s no worry if your child is crying, snacking, or even needing a diaper change. No matter if this is your baby’s first movie or a chance to unwind, Emagine Together offers a welcoming and stress-free experience for everyone in attendance.

Dementia Friendly screenings provide those with dementia and their caregivers a safe, enjoyable and uplifting cinematic experience once a month. Dementia Friendly films, like classic movies and musicals, are selected to appease a broad audience and avoid content that may be disturbing or confusing for the guests. These films are presented in a unique setting with auditorium lights brighter, sound levels set lower, and room temperature levels more comfortable.  Guests are able to interact with the presentation and encouraged to talk back, clap, tap their feet, sway, sing along, and get up and dance.

Auditoriums are conveniently located to provide easy access to the lobby, restrooms, and concession area. Dementia Friendly screenings allow for general seating so that guests can choose their seat and sit in a location that makes them feel most comfortable.
