I Tried the Popular Silky Gems Crystal Candy: Jams Me Up | Full Review!!

If you are on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, most likely you have seen the ASMR videos of Silky Gems Crystal Candy. Before I go into my experience, let me share with you what Silky Gems are.

Silky Gems are Vietnamese edible crystal candies. That’s pretty much it in a nutshell. The candies are beautiful and very fun to look at. To learn more about the founder and the story behind the product, click here.

While the Silky Gem candies are indeed pretty, did they pass my taste test? Now, again, I have seen the trending videos of this product for quite some time now, and they pulled me in. They look amazing! I was so excited to make my first purchase to see what these candies are all about, taste-wise.

Silky Gems Candy Box

First off, the box I purchased was $42 for a box of 6 flavors of Jams Me Up candies. Honestly, I feel like this is a bit pricy for what you receive. I probably won’t buy again just because my blog budget just can’t afford it, unfortunately.

Okay, now, the verdict.

I was so excited to take my first bite. It was like climbing the hill of a rollercoaster. When I took that first bite, my taste buds did a complete nose dive. The texture for me was too much, and the flavors with the jam didn’t seem to mesh well or taste like perfume. I was in complete shock. What on earth? Talk about a letdown. Maybe I am picky? I am not sure. I just couldn’t get myself to keep eating them after I took a bite of each flavor. Unfortunately, my family felt the same way.

Did I just get a bad box?

I heard that you could freeze them, and that would make a difference. Nope! I mean, for a brief moment, they had the potential to taste better, but it just went right back to the aftertaste. I was so bummed quite honestly.

Jams Me Up Candy

What flavors did I receive?

  • Marshmallow Jam
  • Lychee Jam
  • Stawberry Jam
  • Blue Raspberry Jam
  • Honeydew Sour Jam
  • Lemon Sour Jam

I am super bummed that this was my review of Silky Gems. Maybe other products taste better than the Jams Me Up box. Have you ever tried these specifically? What are your thoughts? Did you enjoy them?
