Dearborn, MI – Experience a spectacular fusion of music and history this July 2-5, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the annual Salute to America event in Greenfield Village. For over three decades, The Henry Ford and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra have collaborated to create an unforgettable celebration that transforms 80 acres of historic grounds into a vibrant concert venue. This year promises to be no exception, with a captivating lineup of performances set against the backdrop of 300 years of American heritage.

As you stroll through Greenfield Village,

indulge in delicious offerings from food trucks lining Main Street, immerse yourself in the enchanting melodies of the historic 1913 Herschell-Spillman carousel, and enjoy the sights of presenters in period attire mingling throughout the village. With seven distinct historic districts to explore, guests will be treated to an ever-evolving soundtrack featuring choral singing, ragtime, Motown, blues, jazz, and more—creating an exhilarating atmosphere for all ages.

The highlight of the evening arrives as the sun sets,

when the Detroit Symphony Orchestra takes center stage under the direction of Na’Zir McFadden, Assistant Conductor and Phillip & Lauren Fisher Community Ambassador. Prepare for a thrilling performance that includes orchestral favorites and beloved film scores, culminating in a powerful rendition of Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture,” complete with cannon fire and a dazzling fireworks display that will light up the night sky.
