Marie, the United States Coast Guard, and the United States Army Corps of Engineers are thrilled to invite everyone to join us on June 27 for a day packed with excitement and discovery.

This year’s festivities will feature the highly anticipated opportunity to cross over the MacArthur Lock,

bringing attendees up close and personal with majestic freighters. Kicking off at 9 a.m., West Portage Avenue will be transformed into a vibrant hub of activity, closed to traffic until 6 p.m. Over 30 local vendors will line the street, providing valuable water safety information, insights into regional attractions, and showcasing our talented area merchants.

The celebration doesn’t stop there!

The Soo Locks Park and observation deck will remain open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., allowing visitors to soak in breathtaking views and learn more about the engineering feats that make this region a vital transportation link. This event promises to be a day of amazement, education, and community connection, and we can’t wait to see you there!
