Engineers Day is back this summer, promising an unforgettable celebration of innovation, engineering marvels, and community spirit. In partnership with the City of Sault Ste. Marie, the United States Coast Guard, and the United States Army Corps of Engineers are thrilled to invite everyone to join us on June 27 for a day packed with excitement and discovery.

bringing attendees up close and personal with majestic freighters. Kicking off at 9 a.m., West Portage Avenue will be transformed into a vibrant hub of activity, closed to traffic until 6 p.m. Over 30 local vendors will line the street, providing valuable water safety information, insights into regional attractions, and showcasing our talented area merchants.
The celebration doesn’t stop there!
The Soo Locks Park and observation deck will remain open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., allowing visitors to soak in breathtaking views and learn more about the engineering feats that make this region a vital transportation link.
