ARRiBA! LATINOS FESTIVAL EXPANDS ENTERTAINMENT LINEUP BRINGING LATINO CULTURE AND COMMUNITY TO DOWNTOWN DETROIT!

Detroit’s First Latino Festival In Over 30 Years Takes Place in Hart Plaza. August 2nd and 3rd.

(DETROIT, MI – July 17, 2025) Momentum is building for the inaugural ARRiBA! Latinos Festival, as organizers unveil exciting additions to the entertainment lineup, immersive activations, and vendor offerings for the historic celebration taking place August 2-3, 2025 in Detroit’s Hart Plaza.

Marking the first large-scale Latino cultural festival to take place in the city in over 30 years, ARRiBA! is more than just a festival, it’s a powerful cultural revival. The festival honors the resilience, pride, and rising influence of Detroit’s Latino community, while inviting the broader community to celebrate, connect, and share in the vibrant experience.

“Detroit is ready. This festival represents the strength of our culture, the energy of our people, and the pride we take in our traditions,” stated event organizer Paula Anderanin. “We’re reviving a cultural presence in the heart of the city and creating a platform for Latino voices to be heard and celebrated.” Anderanin continued with, “This is a landmark moment in Detroit’s history and a tribute to the rise of our Latino community. Together we are reclaiming this space for a new generation, while honoring the legacy that came before us.”

ARRiBA! aims to revitalize Hart Plaza with the rhythms,

flavors, and stories of a culture that helped shaped Detroit, but hasn’t been celebrated at this scale in decades. Festival-goers can expect high-energy performances from global icons and beloved local artists, with newly announced acts and programming amplifying the weekend lineup.

Eva Torres, Cuevas District 6 Manager exclaimed, “We are extremely excited to bring such an energetic and well-rounded event to our city. ARRiBA! will pay homage to the deep Latino roots in our community while celebrating local food, great music, and the resurgence of Downtown Detroit!”

“There’s something powerful about coming together like this,” stated Noel Torres. “We’re not just entertaining, we’re part of a moment. This is our music, our language, our families – all in one place, in Detroit. It’s a beautiful thing.”

Guests will experience the action-packed world of lucha libre with live, high-impact wrestling matches that will bring the thrill of traditional lucha libre to Hart Plaza. This can’t miss experience will feature Lucha Xtreme’s very own Samuray Del Sol (formerly known as WWE Superstar Kalisto) as he showcases his high-flying, fast-paced style while taking on luchadores like Mini Abismo Negro, El Dragon, and La Maquina del Amor “The Love Machine” Tino Valentino.

The two-day festival,

will include immersive cultural activities for all ages. Attendees can experience the Lowrider Car Show, visit cultural exhibits and retail vendors, and enjoy the ARRiBA! Fun Zone which will include multiple free activations including bounce houses and facepainting for children.

ARRiBA! will feature a grand selection of festival foods and drinks that will be an experience in itself. From street tacos and empanadas to signature tequila cocktails, the flavors of ARRiBA! will reflect the heart of the culture. The culinary experience will feature authentic dishes and drinks from, Resist Spirits FKNG Vodka & FKNG Bourbon, Benchmark, and many more.
