The US has no shortage of sporting icons, but which states have produced the most Hall of Famers? And which sport is each states strongest?
The Sports Geek have researched which states have produced the most Hall of Famers across major sports including the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, Soccer, Golf, Boxing, Tennis and even WWE.
Michiganders,
have a 0.2 out of 1M chance on getting inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame! Making people from Michigan the 2nd most likely to become an NHL Hall of Famer.
Michigan also ranks #9 for producing WWE HoFer’s – with 0.98 out of 1M chance of getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame!

Methodology
For each sport listed above in the email, we used official Hall of Fame lists to identify every athlete who has been inducted. We then researched the birthplace of each Hall of Famer to determine which U.S. state they originated from.
To ensure a fair comparison between states of different sizes, we calculated the number of Hall of Famers per one million residents, using the latest population data for each state.
