 NOVI, MI (September  2025) – Motor City Comic Con (MC3), is Michigan’s largest and longest running pop culture convention since 1989 and hosts this iconic event twice a year, each Spring and Fall.  Motor City Comic Con is taking place November 14-16, 2025, at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, MI. This event is known as one of the premier conventions in the United States and the ultimate destination for all things pop culture, entertainment, and the celebration of creativity.  Motor City Comic Con is thrilled to be welcoming Vincent D’Onofrio, Rose McGowan, Holly Marie Combs, Linda Blair, Stephen Amell, Casper Van Dien, and Phil LaMarr to the growing list of celebrity guests at this Fall’s convention. Fans can stay tuned as more celebrity guests and special activations will be announced in the coming weeks!

  • Vincent D’Onofrio is known for his intense performances and for his imposing physicality. He plays police detective Robert Goren in the TV series Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Edgar in Men in Black, Carl Stargher in The Cell, Pvt. Pyle in Full Metal Jacket, Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) in Daredevil, The Wizard in Emerald City, Vic Hoskins in Jurassic World, and many more.

  • Rose McGowan is an actress, director, author, and activist, best known for her roles in films like The Doom Generation, Scream, and Jawbreaker, as well as the TV series Charmed.

 

  • Holly Marie Combs is an actress and producer, best known for her roles as Kimberly Brock in the CBS series Picket Fences and Piper Halliwell in the WB series Charmed. She also played Ella Montgomery in the Freeform series Pretty Little Liars.

  • Linda Blair is best known for her role as Regan MacNeil in The Exorcist and Exorcist II: The Heretic. She can also been seen in films like Savage Island, Roller Boogie, Hell Night, Repossessed, and Savage Streets.

  • Stephen Amell is best known his role in the hit series Arrow. He was also the criminal mastermind “Garrett”, in the films Code 8 Pt 1 and 2.   His most notable recent roles include the Netflix hit series, Heels and NBC’s Suits LA. He can be seen in the new upcoming drama series Borderline.

  • Casper Van Dien had his breakout role in the film Starship Troopers. He can also be seen in Sleepy Hollow, Tarzan and The Lost City, and The Pacts. He has had roles in TV series like Hawaii 5-0, Monk and Lake Effects.

  • Phil LaMarr is best known for MadTV, Futurama, Pulp Fiction, Justice League, and as the voice of Samurai Jack. For over 30 years Phil has thrilled audiences on camera and behind the mic with work on TV shows such as Family Guy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Young Justice, The Flash, and in feature films like Madagascar 2, Incredibles 2, and Lion King

Motor City Comic Con will feature some of the largest actors from television, movies, and streaming platforms, along with the most creative artists, writers, and comic book creators in the industry. Throughout the three-day weekend celebrity and comic guests participate in autographs and photo opportunities with attendees, for additional fees. Some celebrities will have presales for autographs and photo ops available on the website and some celebrity guests will have those opportunities available on site at the convention as well. Attendees can also participate in various panel discussions, attractions, events, and explore various exhibitors. Artists, writers, and illustrators will also be featured throughout Artist Alley over the three-day convention. In addition, there will be crafters that will have extraordinary gifts, crafts, and replicas available, and some of the largest comic book and multimedia dealers from across the country that offer a variety of merchandise including comics, toys, art, unique jewelry, clothing, memorabilia and much more! Fans can also expect the traditional favorites such as Cosplay Contests and kid-friendly activities, along with many more events and activities.

Dave Acosta

Dave Acosta is a Michigan based comic artist, known for his work on Elvira: Mistress of the Dark for Dynamite, as well as his creator-owned projects, Dragon and Terrorwar for Image Comics.

 

Dave Aikins

He is an illustrator working in the publishing side of children’s television and movies. Over the past 30 years he has worked on hundreds of children’s books and products for shows such as the classic 1964 Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, SpongeBob, Kamp Koral, and the upcoming SpongeBob Movie: Search for the SquarePants,  Blue’s Clues & You, Paw Patrol, Rubble & Crew, Blaze, Dora the Explorer, and Shimmer & Shine.

 

David Baron

During his 30+ year career, he has held the titles of Writer, Artist, Colorist, Art Director, and just about every other position in the comic book industry. David’s recent projects include Batman Off-World, Batman Who Laughs, Heavy Metal, Superman Last Days of Lex Luthor, and Suicide Squad: Kills Arkham Asylum.

 

Andy Belanger

He is a comic artist and professional wrestler, noted for his creativity and unique rocker/horror style, he is one of the leading members of the new Iron Age of comics. After working for over a decade with mainstream comics publishers he started Lethal Comics in 2020 with fellow artist Karl Kerschl.

 

Ryan Benjamin

He is a professional comic book artist and is a leading publisher in the comics industry. He has been regularly commissioned to illustrate best-selling comics including Brothers Bond, Batman Beyond, WildCats, Grifter, Uncanny X-Men, and many others. His other illustrations appeared in numerous classic comics, including Star Wars, Spawn, Captain America, Iron Man, Grifter/Midnighter, Batman, and Wonder Woman.


Andy Bennett

He is a comic artist and illustrator who started his carree at Michigan’s CALIBER COMICS on titles like Saint Germaine, Negative Burn, and Ghost Sonata. Most recently he has contributed new stories for “Strange Horror” at Aazurn Publishing and completed the all-new graphic novel “Sherlock Holmes and the Empire Builders Vol 1” with co-creator Joe Meadows from Tripwire Comics. Vol 2 will be released in 2025.

Danica Davidson

She is a Michigan author of 20 books for young readers, ranging from official Minecraft books to books on manga to serious nonfiction. She’s published twelve unofficial Minecrafter novels for middle grade readers, starting with Escape from the Overworld, which introduces Stevie, the son of Steve. The unofficial books led to her writing the official Minecraft novel Minecraft: The Outsider, and she’s one of the contributors to the official Minecraft cookbook, The Crafter’s Kitchen. She’s behind the bestselling Manga Art for Beginners, its sequel Manga Art for Everyone, and the one-of-a-kind Chalk Art Manga.

 

Francine Delgado

She is a Costa Rican-Canadian comic artist, cover artist, and character designer. Her work has been featured in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (IDW), Gatchaman and Flash Gordon (Mad Cave), and Legendary: Black Widow (Marvel Upper Deck). She was also part of the Ringo-nominated anthology Lower Your Sights. With a bold and dynamic style influenced by manga, European comics, and fashion design,

Steve Englehart

He created the adult superhero-film genre with his “definitive Batman,” which also reestablished the Joker, and oversaw the adaptation for Batman (1989). His version of Captain America remains definitive and established the MCU as actual movies instead of fan service.

Jimola Fagbamiye

He is a Nigerian-born visual artist based in Toronto, Canada. His work, inspired by African history and North American pop culture, has been exhibited in galleries across Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, and Lagos. Jibola illustrated the New York Times bestseller Black AF: The Un-Whitewashed Story of AmericaPromise That You Will Sing About Me: The Power and Poetry of Kendrick Lamar, and contributed to IDW’s “FULL BLEED Vol.4” anthology.

Deny’s Cowan

He is an accomplished and celebrated comic and animation creator and illustrator. Founder of Milestone Media, which sold over 10 million copies of groundbreaking comic books, Cowan has numerous credits to his name, including: Black Racer, Deathstroke, Black Lightning & Hong Kong Phooey, Batman: Lovers & Madmen, Blind Justice, Black Panther: Flags of Our Fathers, The Question, Hardware, and Static.

 

Ian Glaubinger

She is currently inking My Chemical Romance’s and Umbrella Academy’s Gerard Way on a Foot Soldiers story for the new Omnibus and is developing a project using creativity and self-expression as a way to encourage Mental Health. Her other current project is an all-ages picture book called Snow White and Seven Ducks (And other Unknown Fairy Tales).

 

Dave Johnson

An officially ordained Methodist Deacon. “Reverend” Dave Johnson may be best known for his minimalist covers on the noir Vertigo series, 100 Bullets. He has done all 100 covers. Dave is the principal founder of “Drink and Draw”, a get-together of professional artists that spawned an art book by the same name.

Scott Kolins

He is an award-winning comic book creator, known for his art on The Flash, The Avengers, Justice League, Marvel Team-Up, Rogues Revenger, Blue Beetle and many more.

 

V Ken Marion

Illustrator, concept artist, and storyteller who has been working in the comic book industry for over a decade for premier publishers such as DC Comics, Aspen MLT, Image Comics and Oni Press. He recently jumped into the creator owned space with his Science-Fantasy saga Battle Chronicle Sol-Stryker, which he is hard at work illustrating and co-writing.

 

F.P.Larue

F.P. LaRue is the award-winning author of the Scary Shivers Mystery series – winning awards for series’ The Weeping House and The Curse of Shadow Park. Before writing children’s books, F.P.’s career had been in education, where she progressed from a teacher to the Dean of Academic Affairs for a small Michigan college. She also authored an article titled Ten Tips to Get Children Reading More.

 

Jim Krueger

He is the former Creative Director of Marvel Comics and author on iconic comic book titles such as Earth X, Justice, Avengers, Star Wars and more. In addition to his work in comics, Jim has written for film, television, and video games, contributing to projects such as the Spider-Man 2 video game, Mortal Combat and the animated series Justice League, among others.

 

Anthony Marques

A graduate of the iconic Joe Kubert School,he began his career working as an editor for publishers DC Comics and Dynamite Entertainment. He is an artist for beloved characters such as Batman, the Green Hornet, and the Ghostbusters. In addition to working on numerous projects with these companies, he became an instructor at the Joe Kubert School before eventually becoming president and owner of the institution. There he works with instructors to usher in the next generation of comic book creators.

 

Conor McCreery

Conor McCreery is the swashbuckling Canadian wordsmith behind the Kill Shakespeare series. He co-created a comics biography of the legendary Fela Kuti: Music is the Weapon and has told stories for brands like Adventure Time, Regular Show, Assassin’s Creed and more.

 

Don Rosa

He became internationally famous starting in 1987 when he began writing and drawing new stories based on his favorite classic comics — Carl Barks’ “Uncle $crooge” and “Donald Duck”. Soon he was working for various licensed publishers in Europe where Barks’ Duck comics continue to be the best selling comics as they once were in America. But American fans can also now see his entire Duck comics career reprinted (in English!) in the DON ROSA LIBRARY from Fantagraphics Books.

 

Tim Townsend

He has been an Inker at Marvel Comics for the last 30 years and has worked on the X-Men books and has had some noteworthy runs on the various Spider-Man titles. Most recently, Tim has teamed up with the legendary Greg Capullo on the Wolverine: Revenge series and the highly anticipated Deadpool/Batman book.

 

Guy Gilchrist

Cartoonist, illustrator, writer, and musician. He created “Jim Henson’s Muppets’ newspaper strip and instrumental in the Henson’s projects such as Muppet Babies, Fraggle Rock, and more. He has written and illustrated over 60 children’s books.

 

Bob Hall

Comic artist and writer as well as a playwright and theatre director. He is the co-creator of the West Coast Avengers for Marvel Comics. He has also served as the regular artist on Avengers and penned issues of Amazing Spider-Man.

Klaus Janson

Comic artist who regularly works for Marvel and DC Comics. He is known for his inker works, he has worked as a penciller and colorist.

 

Michael Cho

Cartoonist and illustrator based in Toronto. His art is on comic book covers for Marvel and DC comics. He’s drawn for Star Wars, Fortnite, Disney, and even Joe Biden’s presidential campaign.

 

Mark Waid
