Experts at vacation rental marketplace FloridaRentals.com have determined the most popular landmarks in Michigan. Data was taken from Tripadvisor to determine which landmarks have the most reviews, the highest number of 5-star reviews, and the total average Tripadvisor rating.
In Michigan, Comerica Park is the most popular landmark with 2,744 Tripadvisor reviews. The stadium is home to the Detroit Tigers and has earned 1,829 5-star reviews.
Greenfield Village ranks second with 2,628 Tripadvisor reviews. This open-air history museum has an average Tripadvisor rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars and 2,158 5-star reviews.
Motown Museum, located in Detroit, offers visitors tours and hosts events throughout the year. It has 2,209 Tripadvisor reviews, with 1,629 being 5-star reviews, and an average rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars.
Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore ranks fourth with 1,942 Tripadvisor reviews and has an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars. The dunes sit 450 feet above Lake Michigan and offer beautiful views across miles of hiking trails.
The Village at Grand Traverse Commons, located in Traverse City, is a collection of shops and restaurants that also provides guided tours through the historical buildings. It has 1,605 total Tripadvisor reviews, and 1,093 are 5-star reviews.
