Owens, was born in Detroit at Hutzel Hospital and grew up in Detroit as well. He is a retired football player who played for the University of Michigan from 1976 to 1980 and then went on to play in the NFL for the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL from 1981 to 1989.  “The Golden Bachelor” is a spin-off of the popular “Bachelor” franchise, and Owens is the current star for Season 2 of the series.
