Detroit-Area Planet Fitness Franchise Groups and the Detroit Red Wings Announce Third Annual $10,000 SHUT OUT Bullying Contest

Inviting educational institutions and youth organizations to apply for funding to support bullying prevention programs!
DETROIT, MI (October 2025) Detroit-area Planet Fitness franchisees, EPIC Fitness Group and Impact Fitness Group, and the Detroit Red Wings have once again teamed up to promote kindness and inclusion through the third annual Shut Out Bullying contest, offering one school or youth organization $10,000 in funding for anti-bullying programming.
The contest opens on November 2, 2025, at 8:00 AM EST
and concludes on December 21, 2025, at 11:59 PM EST. Educational institutions and youth organizations throughout Michigan serving students in grades K-12 are invited to apply by completing a short entry form and answering questions about their current or proposed bullying prevention initiatives.
Past winners include Fraser Public Schools (2024) and Endeavor Charter Academy (2025). The 2026 winner will be honored during a special on-ice presentation on January 18, 2026, prior to the Red Wings vs. Ottawa Senators game at Little Caesars Arena. Representatives from both Detroit-area Planet Fitness franchise groups and the Detroit Red Wings will take part in the ceremony. The winning group’s representatives will also be invited to stay and enjoy the game, courtesy of the Detroit Red Wings.
