Born IN Detroit Announces Partnerships with Michigan State University and Eastern Michigan University for Officially Licensed Merchandise!

(Detroit, Michigan – November 11, 2025) Michigan owned and operated Born IN DetroitTM Apparel, LLC has announced two new collegiate partnerships with Michigan State University and Eastern Michigan University to create officially licensed merchandise.  New lines for both universities will feature fresh designs with the iconic Born IN DetroitTM logo along with the college likeliness, logos, and team colors, along with some unique taglines for each of the college towns.  The new merchandise lines will be available soon.

was trademarked in 2015 and brought to life in 2020 by a group of true Detroiters, two sets of brothers Michael and Anthony Tomey and George and Alex Bourkoulas. The brand was created with the mission of showcasing the pride of Detroiters near and far, and to establish a brand partner to champion the city and surrounding communities. The founders were all born in Detroit, attended area schools, played sports throughout the area, and have a fierce gritty work ethic that overflows with pride for all things Detroit.  Born IN DetroitTM was created to honor Detroit as more than just a city, that it is a feeling of pride, hard work and perseverance.  The dynamic and rapidly growing lifestyle brand has quickly become a beloved name, celebrated for its distinctive blend of fashion, community spirit, and Detroit pride.

The new licenses with Michigan State and Eastern Michigan will expand Born IN Detroit’s official sports apparel lines which currently includes University of Michigan, Western Michigan, Oakland University, Wayne State and Ohio State University, along with the professional sports team apparel lines with Detroit Red Wings, Lions, Pistons, and Tigers.
