Spiritual Books for All Children
Author Mary Miché offers us three books for children to encourage their spiritual development in a busy world. All three are 2025 Purple Dragonfly Award winners.
Kid’s Pray in Many Ways (in both English and Spanish) contains beautiful photos of children from many cultures praying in varied ways. Sharing this book with children gives us the opportunity to talk about connecting with the Divine through prayer. We often tell children that someone who has died is in heaven, but we don’t have much to say about what heaven is like. In the current generation of young children, many of them grow up with no spiritual connection. Their parents are very busy and often don’t do anything spiritual with them.
