Gilmore Car Museum Celebrates 60 Years with Special Anniversary Cruise-In July 29, 2026, Hickory Corners, MI!

The Gilmore Car Museum invites classic car enthusiasts, collectors, families, and the community to celebrate a milestone in automotive history during its 60th Anniversary Cruise-In on Wednesday, July 29, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

This special evening commemorates six decades of the Gilmore Car Museum preserving and sharing America’s automotive heritage. The anniversary event will build on the museum’s beloved Wednesday Night Cruise-In tradition, bringing together hundreds of collector vehicles and enthusiasts for an evening of classic cars, camaraderie, and celebration.

Since opening its doors in 1966, the Gilmore Car Museum has grown into one of North America’s premier automotive museums, spanning more than 90 acres and featuring an unparalleled collection of historic automobiles and transportation exhibits. Today, the museum welcomes more than 130,000 visitors annually and continues to inspire generations through the stories, innovation, and culture of the automobile.

“The 60th Anniversary Cruise-In is an opportunity to celebrate not only our history, but also the people who have made the Gilmore Car Museum such a special destination for six decades,” said Nick LaCasse. “From longtime supporters and volunteers to first-time visitors and car enthusiasts, everyone is invited to join us for this memorable evening.”

The cruise-in will feature:

• Hundreds of classic, antique, muscle, hot rod, and specialty vehicles
• Live music throughout the evening
• Food and refreshments available from George & Sally’s Blue Moon Diner and other on-site concessions
• Family-friendly activities, including face painting and caricature artists
• A festive atmosphere celebrating 60 years of automotive history and community

The event is open to the public, and show vehicles are welcome to participate as part of the evening’s Cruise-In. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the celebration and experience one of Michigan’s premier automotive destinations. With activities for all ages, the 60th Anniversary Cruise-In offers something for lifelong car enthusiasts as well as families looking for a fun summer evening together.
