Annual School Supply Drive Benefits Boys & Girls Clubs, Schools, and Non-Profit Organizations Across Michigan and Indiana.

Donations are being accepted at participating Planet Fitness locations through August 7, 2026.

Detroit, MI – As thousands of students prepare to head back to the classroom this fall, Impact Fitness and EPIC Fitness, two Planet Fitness® franchise divisions with clubs throughout Michigan and Indiana, are once again partnering with their local communities to help ensure children have the tools they need to start the school year with confidence.

Now through August 7, 2026, community members are invited to donate school supplies at participating Planet Fitness locations. All donations will remain in the local communities where they are collected and will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs, local schools, and nonprofit organizations serving children and families in need.

As part of Planet Fitness’ ongoing commitment to supporting the communities it serves, both members and non-members are encouraged to participate in the drive.  Most needed items include Backpacks, Markers, Crayons, Pencils, Pencil Boxes, Supply Boxes, Folders, Notebooks, Headphones, Ziploc Bags, Tissues, and Hand Sanitizer.

“Back to school should be an exciting time for every child, but for many families, purchasing school supplies can be a significant financial challenge,” stated Sarah Wilson, Marketing Director for Impact Fitness, a Planet Fitness Franchisee. “Our annual school supply drive gives our members, team members, and neighbors an opportunity to come together in a simple but meaningful way. Every backpack, notebook, and box of crayons donated helps a local student walk into a classroom feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn.”

Mary Scott, VP of Marketing at EPIC Fitness Group,

a Planet Fitness franchise division added, “One of the things we value most at Planet Fitness is being an active part of the communities we serve. This school supply drive is about more than collecting donations – it’s about investing in the future of local children and showing families that their community is behind them. We’re proud to partner with local schools and organizations each year to help students begin the school year with the supplies they need to thrive.”

While Planet Fitness is best known for providing a welcoming, Judgement Free Zone® where everyone can pursue their fitness goals, the company is equally committed to making a positive impact beyond the gym. Through initiatives like the annual school supply drive, Impact Fitness and EPIC Fitness continue to support the neighborhoods they call home by helping local students begin the school year ready for success.
