Michigan’s Largest Immersive and Illuminated One-Mile Forest Walk Returns with a Carnival of Lights, Games, and Family-Friendly Halloween Fun.

Commerce Township, MI- Tickets are on sale Tuesday, August 4, 2026, for Glenlore Trails’ Fall experience, CarnEvil 2. Returning this fall, for its second act, with a reimagined carnival meets Halloween adventure, Glenlore Trails continues to be Michigan’s largest immersive and illuminated walk-thru forest experience, transforming a one-mile forest trail in Commerce Township into a glowing world of playful frights, interactive games, larger than life displays, and unexpected surprises.
Running September 18 through November 1, 2026,
Glenlore Trails invites guests of all ages to step inside a family-friendly Halloween carnival where the forest becomes the midway. Guests will journey beneath the stars through a fully transformed woodland filled with glowing installations, carnival inspired games, interactive moments, swinging skeletons, and unexpected surprises waiting around every turn.
“CarnEvil was one of our most beloved themes, and bringing it back gave our creative team the opportunity to ask, ‘How do we make an experience guests already love feel completely new?’,” stated Scott Schoeneberger, Co-Owner of Glenlore Trails, and Managing Partner at Bluewater Technologies. “CarnEvil 2 isn’t a repeat, it’s a continuation of the story with new interactive elements, new games, and new moments that encourage guests to explore, play, and become a part of the experience.”
CarnEvil 2 combines the nostalgic excitement of a carnival with the imagination of Halloween,
creating an atmosphere where guests can enjoy the thrill of the season without the intensity of traditional haunted attractions. From glowing installations to interactive challenges throughout the trail, every visitor becomes part of the show.

- Family-Friendly Halloween Fun with whimsical spooky moments and seasonal surprises
- Magical Interactive Wands allowing guests to unlock additional surprises on the trail
- Food Trucks featuring a rotating lineup of dinner and desserts including the return of The Little Donut Factory
- Seasonal Drinks including warm beverage options and adult beverage selections

Glenlore Trails’ one-mile forest trail takes approximately one hour to complete and is located along a wooded, manicured (not paved) pathway.
The experience can accommodate strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs with larger wheels, though visitors should we aware that the surface may be more challenging for smaller wheels.
The event runs every Thursday to Sunday at dusk beginning on September 18, and will take place rain, shine, or snow offering a unique experience no matter the weather. Glenlore Trails CarnEvil 2 makes for an unforgettable experience for anyone looking to celebrate the Halloween season in a one-of-a-kind environment. It’s perfect for family outings, fun-filled hangouts with friends, or entertaining date nights.
Glenlore’s gathering areas offer merchandise, group seating, food trucks, and seasonal treats to be enjoyed before or after your walk experience. New this year, guests can also enjoy select Detroit sports games on the big screen in the gathering area before or after their trail experience, adding another way for families and friends to relax, gather, and enjoy the evening together.
